Lasting Relief of Diastasis Recti
Let us help you resolve your diastasis, naturally and without surgery
What is a Diastasis Recti?
A diastasis is a separation between the abdominal muscles that occurs in the third trimester. For about half of women, this gap doesn't close after the pregnancy. While it's common, a diastasis is not normal and not something you have to live with!
It can contribute to incontinence, low back pain, painful intercourse, and other issues. You may also notice a 'mommy pooch' or 'mummy tummy', no matter how much you work out.
Treatment for Diastasis Recti
Most mothers try online exercise programs or core exercises without success. These generic programs aren't targeted to your specific case, and don't address the true 'why' of the diastasis.
Pelvic Physical Therapy for a Diastasis
Regardless of whether your diastasis is 1.5 or 4 fingers wide, or how many years it's been there, it can be resolved naturally and without surgery, Your pelvic PT can find why it hasn't closed, work to resolve the issue and give you a targeted program for real results.
Many mothers start seeing a major difference in just the first few visits, after years of trying to strengthen their core by themselves.
Our team can also check for other pelvic health issues to make sure you completely recover. We'd love to work with you to get you back to your normal activities and whatever exercise you choose!
