Painful Intercourse Treatment

Let us help you resolve painful intercourse to restore normal, pain-free intimacy

Painful intercourse is often caused by tight pelvic floor muscles that can't relax on their own.  This can cause pain with penetration, deep vaginal pain, or symptoms that linger for hours or days after sexual activity.  It may be in just a single position or angle, or accompany any type of intimacy.  Regardless, painful intercourse is never 'normal,' and not something you have to accept or live with.

You may been too embarrassed to mention this to your doctor, or if you have, your concern it may have been dismissed; told you just need to relax, have a glass of wine, or try some lubricant.  You also many have been given a diagnosis of dyspareunia, vulvodynia, or vaginismus (all of which stem from pelvic floor dysfunction).  Painful intercourse should never be a part of your life.

Painful intercourse is often accompanied by other pelvic floor symptoms, including urinary issues, low back or hip pain, painful periods or GI problems.  You may not even realize these different issues all stem from the same underlying cause.

No matter how long you've been dealing with painful intercourse, we can help restore pain-free intimacy with your partner.  We'd love to work with you!

Build your Action Plan

We're with you every step of the way.  We'll develop an action plan to meet your goals and return you to pelvic sanity!

Above all else, we believe in putting the needs of our patients first.  At PelvicSanity, that means full length, 55-minute treatment sessions that are always one-on-one with a pelvic specialist.  Every person is different, so we do not follow a script or simply teach Kegels; instead we tailor treatment to each individual.  We provide a positive, stress-free environment where you can truly find pelvic sanity.
