You Don't Have to Suffer with Prolapse Anymore
If you've been dealing with prolapse (or suspect you may have one), it's likely been frustrating, confusing or even embarrassing. You may have been told there's nothing you can do if you want to have more children, told surgery is your only option or given a pessary you'll have to wear for years. But you don't have just live with a prolapse - you can absolutely find lasting relief without surgery.
In fact, surgery can often have unintended consequences. About 1 in 3 surgeries fail and need to be re-done. And about 40% of those who go in for surgery actually end up with other pelvic health issues (pain, incontinence, etc.) because the underlying pelvic floor dysfunction wasn't addressed and end up going to pelvic PT to try and find relief anyway.
At PelvicSanity we'll help you find and resolve the underlying 'why' of what is going on by looking at the entire system. You won't just lay on your back and Kegel or have a probe inserted to squeeze around. We'll get you up, moving and back to what you love without worry about prolapse.
We want to help you find lasting relief from prolapse without unnecessary surgery. We've helped thousands of patients with prolapse from Orange County and all over the world; we'd love to help you find lasting relief and feel confident in your body again!
Give us a call - you'll speak with a real human, get your questions answered and we can get you started on your road to pelvic sanity!

What is Prolapse?
You may notice a sensation of heaviness or pressure in the pelvis, and it may worsen throughout the day. This is the feeling of the pelvic organs slipping down into the vaginal or rectal canal. These have different names - cystocele, rectocele, enterocele, or uterine prolapse - depending on which organ is descending.
What causes Prolapse?
Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when the muscles of the pelvic floor are no longer able to fully support the pelvic organs. This can happen at any age, and in both men and women. Childbirth is a big risk factor, with about 30% of women experiencing a prolapse after pregnancy. It can also manifest later in life with pelvic floor dysfunction, and is often linked with chronic constipation. While prolapse is common, it's definitely not normal and not something you have to live with.
What are some other common pelvic floor dysfunctions?
It's common to have other symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction, including low back pain, painful intercourse, hip or groin pain, incontinence, or issues with C-section or vaginal tearing scars, among other pelvic floor issues.
How does pelvic physical therapy resolve prolapse?
The first step in resolving incontinence is to understand the 'why.' Often this is actually outside the pelvic floor, having to do with the hips, gait, abdomen or lower back. Then we work with you to address the 'why' so you can move with confidence - and get you back to doing anything you want to be doing! In contrast to what you've heard, it's likely not that your pelvic floor is 'weak' or you just need to Kegel!

Pelvic health issues are complex and you deserve expert care. At PelvicSanity, you'll work with a specialist who has dedicated their career solely to pelvic health. We've seen the most complex cases from all over the world. You'll never see someone 'dabbling' part-time in pelvic health or who has taken a single weekend course.

We believe hour-long, 1:1 sessions with a specialist are the gold standard. You'll always be seen for a full session, and never shuffled off to an 'aide', watched as you exercise or just hooked to a machine.
3. Discover Your 'Why' For Lasting Relief
It's not enough to treat symptoms for temporary help. We want to help you find lasting relief by discovering the root cause of symptoms, so they won't continue to come back. You'll work through the 4 Phases of Treatment at PelvicSanity, and not just 'chase your symptoms.'
4. You Need More than 'Just Kegel'
A whole body approach is necessary for true, lasting relief. We'll look head-to-toe and beyond just the pelvic floor to understand the entire system. You will never have only the pelvic floor treated or just have you 'Kegel' (you usually need the exact opposite!).
5. Calm Environment for Healing
From ample parking to quiet, private treatment rooms, our facility works exclusively with patients like you. You won't be hearing high school kids grunting as they exercise right outside the door, struggle with parking or have to enter a hospital facility for each visit.
